Orcad 16.5 Light Full Demo Installation

dumbfounded
dumbfounded over 13 years ago

I just downloaded the demo software (Orcad Lite-Full Demo) and cannot get through the install process. When I get to the screen where you select the install type (myself or all users of this computer), I selected, the recommended, myself only option, but after doing that the "next" button remains in the "greyed-out" state, not allowing a selection. There is no antivirus software running, the machine is running Windows XP SP3.

I have now tried several times, trying both options, rebooting the computer, still cannot get beyond this screen.

Any suggestions? Thanks

    Since you are running the installation on 64 bit machine, you'd need to check the existance of following registry keys:

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion]

    "RegisteredOrganization"="<Company Name>"

    "RegisteredOwner"="<Owner’s Name>"

    Fill the name of company and owner if these are blank.

    Try running the installation again and see if that helps. Also, are you sure you are running latest OrCAD Demo 16.5 available?
