Difference Between Add--Circle menu and Shape--Circular menu when creating PCB Symbol (Allegro 16.5)

Sorry for the newbie question but I have created a SSOP8 PCB symbol in the Allegro PCB editor (16.5) and I would like to add a small circle to the silkscreen to indicate which pin is pin 1. Now should I do this by going to the Add menu and then clicking Circle or should I do it by clicking Shape and then clicking on Circular? What is the difference between the two? Furthermore, this is a top layer footprint and I will be adding the circle to both the Package Geometry--Assembly_Top and Package Geometry--Silkscreen_Top subclasses. Is this correct? Regards

Bumping this thread - I created a pin 1 identifier on the silkscreen like this (filled circle). I updated the symbols on my design and it shows up. However, when I try to Manufacture -> Silkscreen then Manufacture -> Artwork, it doesn't appear that the circles appear on Autosilk layer or the output file. Am I doing something wrong with this approach?
