AMS Simulator - DEHDL 16.5

I'm getting started with and learning about the AMS Simulator - Design Entry HDL 16.5.  In Chapter 15 of the "Allegro Design Entry HDL User Guide" it frequently states, "For more information, see the Allegro AMS Simulator User's Guide (Design Entry HDL Version)."  I cannot find a document in my <install_dir>\doc by that name.  I went to the Cadence online support page and found this document but it seems to be for the 16.2 version.  (Note: I'm getting a license in the next couple of days to use the AMS Simulator so I presently cannot click on any "Help" buttons but I'm trying to read and learn in advance of getting this tool.)

1) Since it is so difficult to find a specific doc for the AMS Simulator 16.5 have there been major changes to the AMS Simulator from 16.2 to 16.5?  I see that templates were added in 16.3.  That is a significant change/improvement.

2) Can you suggest which user docs I should read/reference AND IN WHICH ORDER as I begin this journey?

 Thank you!

Since the majority audience for this were PSpice users, the documentation for both Front End Tools and system simulation are now documented in the PSpice Users Guide, pspug.pdf, doc\pspug directory of the installation. The primary difference with the HDL front-end will be adding the required libraries to the cds.lib configuration. You can install the "AMS-HDL" libraries from the 16.5 installation media.

If you are used to the 16.2 HDL-AMS flow, things are not going to be radically different in 16.5. IF you have an AMS Studio license, you will also have the Advanced Analysis options, see the pspaugca.pdf in the doc\pspaugca directory, for more information.

If you are looking deeper into the model details, take a look at the PSpice Reference Manual, pspcref, in the doc\pspcref directory.

You will probably only need to reference the pspug.pdf to get started.
