What attribute is used when we do not want a component to appear in placement file or BOM? Allegro 16.5

What attribute is used when we do not want a component to appear in either our placement file or BOM file?  I have several parts that are not populated so I do not want these components to appear in my placement file or the BOM.

I'm sure it's very simple but I cannot seem to find this information in the Cadence documentation.

Also, do you know if there is a list of all the possible attributes that can be used for a component?

Thank you.

PACK_IGNORE property is not part of the Capture to Allegro flow. It is used for Design Entry HDL and System Connectivity Manager.

In Design Entry CIS you can assign the property PSPICEONLY to prevent a component from being transferred to Allegro

I am unaware of the list of possible attributes.  This would be very helpful to have.  I am anxious if someone else can help out here.

I'm using Design Entry HDL.  I attached the BOM_IGNORE attribute to my parts and when I exported the placement file in Allegro the components with the BOM_IGNORE attribute did not show up in that placement file.  That was good and worked as expected.

But I need to create a custom placement file for the assembly house.  I have tried using an extracta report file to output a custom placement report (Tools>Reports>Browse... ) But the parts with the BOM_IGNORE attribute "do" show up in this report.  I'm close to getting what the assembly house wants but there are two things that I cannot accomplish 1) keep the BOM_IGNORE parts out of the placement list, 2) Put the top-side board parts on the top of list and the bottom-side board parts on the bottom of the list.

Side Note: There is a PACK_IGNORE attribute for DEHDL but I do not want to use that as it will not "Package" the parts.  I want the component footprints on the board but I do not want the parts to appear in the BOM or my custom placement file.

I ran my custom placement report again and the parts with the BOM_IGNORE are "not" in my list. That's good.

So now I'm wondering if there is a way to sort the top-side parts from the bottom-side parts.

    Thanks!
