duplicate pin numbers in symbol (footprint)

JB1196
JB1196 over 13 years ago

I am building a footprint for Murata NFM21C which has two pin # 2 across the center for a GND strip to attach across the center of the part.  It has 2 separate pads for pin 2.

The symbol on the schematic calls out pins 1,2,3 for this part.  The footprint calls out pads 1,2,2,3 for this part.So the connections get made correctly from the schematic.

How do you get Cadence Allegro to save the footprint using duplicate pad numbers of pad 2?

The footprint has pad numbers like this:

   1

2      2

    3

Thanks!

John

Its not the correct way of saving footprints with duplicate pin numbers . You misunderstoood the pin numbering sequence in the footprints .

i have used this part in my design. Its having only 3pads pin1[input],pin2[GND] pin3[output] . The center Pin is signle pad with diffrerent  size of pastemask & soldermask opening .

Some what like below image .[ But this is different sereis].

Refere below manufacturer link for recommended land pattern
