How to make shapes (polygon pour) not visible?

How do I make a shape invisible when viewing a PCB design? The shape (polygon pour with a Net) is Etch class. (top or bottom layers)

I use Allegro to view PCB files genrated by others. I need to see some detail that is obscured by the Polygon (Shape). How can I select and then turn off the shape's visibility?

I use Allegro 16.5 Physical view or PCB Editor. (Needless to add, I am very inexperienced in Cadence Allegro.)

    See if this works for you.  Go to Display->Color/Visibility..., then select the Display folder and change the Shapes Transparency to 0%.  This should leave you with just the outline of the shape.  Note:  You may need OpenGL enabled.

    The OpenGL group (including the Shapes Transparency slider) is disabled (greyed out).

    I am running Windows XP and have a Dell OptiPlex 780 with Intel  4 Series Express chipset. There is a Graphics Adaptor settings control panel and it has some OpenGL settings that can be changed, so that indicates that my computer has some OpenGL capability. None of the settings has any obvious relevance. (i.e., there is no "Enable Open GL" setting).

     So it seems that Cadence Allegro is not able to utililize the OpenGL capability I do have.

     So, what to do now?

    Option 1:  Try to enable OpenGL by going to Setup->User Preferences->Display->Opengl and make sure the "disable_opengl" box is unchecked.  Exit then re-open the board file.

    Option 2:  Select the shape, right-click and select parameters, go to the Shape fill tab, select something other than solid for the "Fill Style", set "Spacing" to a very large value, set "Border Width" to a very small value, then select "Apply/OK".  You should be able to get a shape that just has a thin outline.

    Option 3:  Delete the shape, do your review, then select "Oops/Cancel".
