Soldermask or Pastemask

Hello,

I have a rectangular shape and would like to make this conductive. There will be external connections to this conductive area.

The question is, should I copy this shape to SOLDERMASK_TOP or PASTEMASK_TOP subclass to make it available for soldering?

 Thank you for responses,

EDIT: It is currently on ETCH subclass. Please see the shape on the attachment.

    Wakeup,

Since it is on the etch layer all you should need to do is z-copy it to the soldermask_top with a 5mil expand.  Without the soldermask_top layer, the shape will be covered with the masking.  Since you will be making external connections and not placing a SMT part, you can leave off the pastemask_top.
