Signal integrity verification at 10GHz

Hello,

Is Allegro PCB SI (or some other tool from 16.5) capable to check signal integrity of a complex board at 10GHz ?

Or one should export the board file to HyperLynx and check SI with the last one ?

Thanks in advance.

Pavel.

Yes, you will request the IBIS model from Altera.

I've just got to know, that Altium (which also has SI option) can't simulate VIAs.

Is it the case also for Allegro SI ?

One more question - Molex provide for their connectors only S-parameter models.

Can one use them for SI simulation ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Pavel.

Yes, PCB SI can handle vias. It can also generate S-paramters and make use of them as modelsin simulations.

     Regards,

    Ok. good news !

Here I didn't clearly understand what you mean. Which data (info)PCB SI will use to generate S-parameters for a particular connector. S-parameters come from measurements... Or i missed something ?

    Regards.

    Pavel.
