Spawning... "C:\Cadence\SPB_16.5\tools\capture\pstswp.exe" -pst -d "e:\cad\1\design1.dsn" -n "E:\CAD\NETLIST" -c "C:\Cadence\SPB_16.5\tools\capture\allegro.cfg" -v 3  -w -l 31 -s "" -j "PCB Footprint" -hpath "HPathForCollision"
#1 ERROR(ORCAP-36002): Property "PCB Footprint" missing from instance C2: SCHEMATIC1, PAGE1 (3.40, 4.50).
#2 ERROR(ORCAP-36002): Property "PCB Footprint" missing from instance R1: SCHEMATIC1, PAGE1 (1.00, 2.20).
#3 ERROR(ORCAP-36002): Property "PCB Footprint" missing from instance R2: SCHEMATIC1, PAGE1 (1.00, 3.20).
#4 ERROR(ORCAP-36002): Property "PCB Footprint" missing from instance R3: SCHEMATIC1, PAGE1 (5.10, 4.00).
#5 ERROR(ORCAP-36002): Property "PCB Footprint" missing from instance D1: SCHEMATIC1, PAGE1 (5.10, 3.30).
#6 ERROR(ORCAP-36002): Property "PCB Footprint" missing from instance U1: SCHEMATIC1, PAGE1 (3.40, 2.70).
#7 ERROR(ORCAP-36002): Property "PCB Footprint" missing from instance C1: SCHEMATIC1, PAGE1 (2.30, 4.20).
#8 ERROR(ORCAP-36018): Aborting Netlisting... Please correct the above errors and retry.

Exiting... "C:\Cadence\SPB_16.5\tools\capture\pstswp.exe" -pst -d "e:\cad\1\design1.dsn" -n "E:\CAD\NETLIST" -c "C:\Cadence\SPB_16.5\tools\capture\allegro.cfg" -v 3  -w -l 31 -s "" -j "PCB Footprint" -hpath "HPathForCollision"
INFO(ORCAP-32005): *** Done ***

I'll be pleased if some one clarify the doubts about the error .

Thanks in Advance

I had this issue myself just yesterday. You need to assign a pcb footprint for each part on the schematic BEFORE generating the netlist. In older versions you didn't have to do this and could assign footprints as the netlist was being read into Layout.

Click on each part and select "Edit Properties". Then find the cell for the PCB Footprint and type in the name of the footprint you want to use for that specific part.
