PCB Editor and "find"

When using the "find" feature, is there a way to have the screen go to the part you are looking for? Example, I'm zoomed in on a specific part of the board. I want to locate a part so I use the "find" feature and type in the reference desiginator. The screen remains where it is and I don't know if the part was found or not. Once I zoom out and start looking around, I see that the part that I was looking for was highlighted, but I was never taken to it. What use is the "find" feature if it does not take you to the part?

Example, in 15.7 hit "CTL-F" then type in the reference desiginator and return. You will be taken to that parts location.

    Tom,

I glad you you posted this one. I have a guy at work that had your same problem. Mine always zoomed via the find window along with a few others. By the way on 16.6. i spent days trying to figure this one out. I notice that someone else stumble onto the bug which is in the Super Filter pull down. Here's what I did to fix the problem at my end to confirm his findings. Note: Just about everything we do is in Gen Mode. Not sure if this corrects things in the other modes however.

    1. Clicked on your design then right click Into the super filter to check the setting. Ours was set to off.

    2. Change super filter to Symbol.

    3. Selected a part for kicks

    4 Hit done

5 Went back into the super filter and changed it back to off again and closed the filter.

After all this the guy was able to get the the screen to zoom center of a part via the find window.

    Cheers
