Color saving in the PCB Editor, Footprint creation & DRC Status box

Hi

In the PCB Editor 16.5 down at the bottom right of the screen there is a red box that shows the status of the DRC, if it is on
or Off. I was wondering is it possible to change the color of this box so that when the DRC is on it lights up "Green" and when DRC is off it lights up red. Reason I ask is because it is confusing. Red normally means "'Stop" I.e DRC is off : )

When DRC is off the little box still remans RED but with no DRC text displayed inside it.

I was also wondering when I create a Symbol "Footprint" in the PCB editor and I change the colors to suit my taste, How do I go about saving out my color preferences. Color View Save is present when laying out a board but does not appear to be an option if I am creating a footprint ?

Thanks Scott

The DRC status function is Green: DRC Up to Date; Red: DRC Out of Date, this could mean, "Stop, the DRC is out of Date" depending upon what you intended to do next.

In 16.5 PCB Editor, my symbol editors all show a View>Color View Save menu entry, I don't think that there has been a hotfix that changed this. Failing that, you can use the File>Export / Import Parameters...

    Hi

You can use file->import/export->parameters to import/export color settings in both board and symbol files.

Also when you do a file->new->symbol or board then the dialog has a button named "Template"

If you press that button and select a template symbol/board then your new symbol/board will inherit the settings from the selected template.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards

    Ole
