Removing shape fill, retain shape

Using Cadence Allegro 16-5-13C

Making a new revision of a board. Have experienced crash when routing/placing via in areas with copper fill. This is what I am looking for.

  • Want to keep the shapes.
  • Delete the fill.
  • Reroute inside the shape.
  • Reapply the fill.

When selecting the shape and select "Defer performing dynamic fill" the fill is removed as wanted, but when selecting "done" the fill is still there. Is it a way to remove the fill, and do routing ? At the moment I move the shape/fill, route and move it back again.

Thanks

Method I follow when editing board having copper fill

Option1  : Delete the fill & route it. After completing routing  refill it . its  double work!

Option 2 : Shape>Global Dynamic Parameters> select disabled .Start routing now all shape will go out of date . Once you complete the routing apply smooth .

    HTH
