Adding Title Block Symbol

Hi,

Is there a good tutorial or concise information about the normal process of adding Title Blocks and other manufacturing data to a .brd file?

I have an existing fab_format_d symbol from a previous design I'd like to use but can't find a way to place it. Normally you would need to incorporate a part into the schematic to bring a symbol in but I can't believe that I need to do this for a title block.

The Help files sometimes are pretty cryptic and seem to only briefly touch on generating Artwork and not adding extraneous fab / manufacturing drawing information.

Regards,

Robert

We have a collection of differently scaled formats that we bring in as parts.  The first step of course is to create the symbols.  You can do this in pcb editor by File - New and select Format Symbol.  We had formats that we used for our mechanical drawings that we wanted to use for our electrical dwgs so we created dxf versions of the formats and imported them into the new symbol by choosing File - Import - DXF.  Once you have the format in Editor and you save it off you can then bring it into your board design by choosing Place - Manually and setting your Advanced Setting options for library.  You need to setup your library paths to point the location where you saved the format symbol.  This is done in Setup - User Preferences - Paths.  Set your psm path to the location of the format symbol here.  Let me know how you make out
