FPGA pin swap

Here is the problem. I have schematic where  I have 484 pin FPGA.  It is drawn in Allegro Cadance schematic capturing.  So, to tailor it to my need i swapped pins around on FPGA (schematic reuse).  Next what happen is we needed to go to same part but different part number for FPGA.  So, after i used modify command, i lost all swapped pin locations.  I still have a copy of old schematic backed.  Is there is a way to modify some "file" or locations in some of the files using backed old files to fix it easy without going and swap pins manually?  I usse cadence v 16.5.

     I have run into the exact same issue and never found a simple solution.  I used the packager and Allegro files to extract the pin assignments (after the swap).  Then I extracted the schematic pins and did some fancy lookups in Excel and created a new pin map. This allowed me to create a static symbol of the FPGA with the new pin assignments.  Was a bit of work.

    Thank you for replying. Unfortunately I can’t change symbols, they are done by someone else.  I was hoping there is easier way to do this… like file manipulations.
