How to create a new footprint

pollas
pollas over 12 years ago

Hi,

I have downloaded OrCAD 16.5 Demo (all products), but there is not OrCAD Layout. So I don't know how to do it. I have create a new library with only one chip (MPU-6000), but there isn't his pcb footprint, that is 24-pin plcc. And when I create the netlist, the PCB editor doesn't open the file. My schematics is very simple, only has the chip and lines.

Thanks

Did you try File->New (then select Package Wizard)?

     Thanks for your reply.

Now my problem is which padstack I hava to choose. I don't know which padstack is the best for my chip. Here is the datasheet: http://www.invensense.com/mems/gyro/documents/PS-MPU-6000A.pdf  And I'm going to put step by step what I'm doing and my shematics.
