Viewing artwork

For some reason, I can not view the artwork I just created. The photoplot.log file shows they were generated with no errors. The file sizes of the .art files seem reasonable so there is data there.

When I select File-Import-Artwork, I can select the .art file I want to view, but when I select OK, it is not attached to my cursor. I know this works because we did it in class. In fact I have followed the class tutorial (setting up a new class/sub class to avoid the DRC's when importing into the etch layer) to the letter and it still no-workee.

Thoughts?

Figured it out. Pilot error (as usual..........) I was hitting "ok" instead of "load file". I incorrectly assumed (as usual) that when I selected the file from the list of .art files that it was being loaded.

We create a pdf version of the artworks so that the artwork may be viewed by anyone without the need for special software.  We produce this using the free artwork viewer "Viewmate" by Pentalogix.  Once the artworks are pulled up in the viewer we print to PDF using Primo PDF creator, also free.  Just some food for thought.

I was headed down that path as I usually supply check prints in pdf format. Used to be able to print the layers to pdf in Layout. Made things easy.....ier.

    I'll check it out, thanks.
