Mulitple drills, same size

TH Designs

Ran NC drill and table comes up with three 0.040 holes all plated thru. They each had a different symbol so I manually changed the symbol to the same for each thinking that would combine them into one listing for the 0.040 hole.

Why does this one drill size show up as three line items? How can I combine the holes into one listing?

    I notice that you have reported the hole size to be 0.040 (inches I assume)  My guess is that the padstack was created (or converted from metric) with additional digits of resolution that are being dropped off from the value showing up in the table and indeed are really different hole sizes.  Try going in to the padstack editor in layout for a couple of the different hole sizes and see if they have different hole sizes.  You can change them locally in layout here but I would suggest going into the library and correcting them for future layouts.

    I did as you suggested and all of the drills are 40 mils, no metric rounding issues. What I did find was in the NC Drill Customization there is a "Merge" button which will merge all same size drills into one entry.

    Why there were multiple line items for the same drill is still a mystery, but using "Merge" combined them into one entry.
