Text not showing up in Gerbers after artwork generation

If I see text when I set up my artwork why isn't it showing up in the Gerber layers?

This is labels inside of planes on the supplied default available film layers that are etch. The void in the plane is there but no text shows up.

    Hello,

Try opening the Design Parameter Editor and select the text tab.  In the Text Setup their is a column to specify Photo Width.  Ensure that it is not set to zero.

Clint, I set the general line width to more than zero and that solved the issue, thanks.

I am using 16.3 as well try.

    Setup>Design Parameters>Text>Setup Text Sizes (Radio Button) ...

The photo width column resides in there.  Not sure why its so difficult to post an image......

Ahh very good, thanks. I'd like to see what others have done here as just going from text blk of 2 to 3 on my silkscreen is a large jump and don't really have time to spend sorting out new line parameters.

    Hello,

It sounds like you have the Undefined line width set to 0 in your Silkscreen Film Record.  You will need to give it a number greater than 0 for any features which don't have a line width defined to show up in the Gerbers.   For example, if you have silkscreen which is drawn with rectangles they will not show up in the Gerbers unless you set the Undefined line width on the Film Record. The same would go for other elements that don't have a line width defined, they will no show up in the Gerbers files.

You don't need to set the Photoplot Width for each of your text blocks unless you require a different line width compared to the Undefined line width in the Film Record.

    Hope this helps,
    Mike Catrambone
