Freehand Drawing Tutorial for Orcad PCB Editor

Hello,

I am brand new to using Orcad PCB Editor, and I am looking for a tutorial on how to draw "freehand". 

I developed a layout in Agilent ADS, but I need to convert it to a ".art" format.  Orcad seems to be the right tool, but I have no experience with it.

 Any suggestions on how to create a layout from scrath without a netlist from Schematic capture would be greatly appreciated.

If its possible to import my layout, it seems as if it is, but I'm not doing it correclty, is also appreciated.

    Allegro PCB editor is netlist driven so in a nutshell no netlist no electrical connectivity.

    Now since you are using ADS what you could do is export your artwork as a gerber file and then pull that file into either a gerber editor to make changes or a pcb tool that supports importing of a gerber file.

    Keep in mind a gerber file will not have electrical connectivity as there is no netlist.

    You could also export your ADS artwork as a DXF and in Allegro use that as a template to create your shapes for transmission lines etc.
