How to export from Orcad Capture to PADS?

I got a bit fed up with PCB Editor and want to give PADS a shot; how do I export my design from Capture in such a way that PADS can import it successfully?

Thanks all!

Yikes!  I use both and find no comparison in tools.  Cadence is a better product.  But to each his own.

So without using a 3rd party tool to convert, I know of no way to convert to PADS.  Sorry.

Let me understand, first you mention PCB Editor then you mention Capture, so I assume you them mean both a schematic

and pcb layout want to get translated from Orcad Layout & Capture.

In both cases you really don't need to export anything, PADS has Orcad translators for both layotu & capture, so it woudl

just be a question whether the ver of Orcad you're running is supported for translation. I have done layout translations

from Oracd to PADS with no real issues. It just depends on what your expecatations are on the output. Becuase

of CAD differences you may need/want to move things around layer wise and export a library to fix that stuff. As far as a schematic

translation I have not tried that. But Mentor says it works well going into DxDesigner, but not sure about PADS Logic. Again never did a Capture translation, but layour workd well all you need is the *.max board file.
