Output impedance of a buffer

Hi,
Could anyone suggest a method to determine the output impedance of an iocell from ibis curves. The values from V/I curves are far from exact and the Trial and Error method is rather time consuming.
Thanks

    Hi

Using SigXplorer I would create a small circuit consisting of 2 iocells connected with a series resistor and a tline

Setup a sweep of the series resistor value and then take the tline impedance - resistor value for the best simulation results will give you a very good indication of the the output impedance of the iocell. You'll probably have to select something that suits you for both Falling and rising edge.

    Best regards

    Ole

    Thank you Ole!

This is what I meant about Trial and Error because my license does not support sweep in Signal Explorer. But the method does really work.
