Orcad capture PDF export

hitem

 Hi!  All,

Does anyone have used PDF Export in Orcad Capture?  I kept getting the following message, "The postscript to PDF converter tool acrodist.exe not found in the path.  Either supply the fully qualified path in the command or make sure the path has been added in the PATH environment variable"

I verified that Adobe Distiller is operational in my computer and the path should be correct.  Has anyone experienced the similar issue?  Adobe Acrobat print out doesn't include the hierarchical capability, so I would like to try PDF Export in Orcad itself.

Thanks!

The acrodist.exe needs to be able to be found from the machine environment settings. Start a Command Prompt and type acrodist at the command prompt, if the acrodist window does not open, and I suspest that it will not, you need to add the directory that contsins your acrodist.exe to the machine PATH environment variables, Start>Control Panel, System, Advanced tab, or Advanced System Settings link, Environment variables button. Locate the PATH entry, preferably the one in the lower System variables window and add ";<value_of_your_acrodist_directory>" to the end of the existing entries. (No quotes around the value, your entry will be "something like" C:\Program Files\Adobe and so on)
