resizing a schem symbol

Hi folks.

Looking for some advice on how one goes about moving the pins to a rezied symbol. I basically made the rectangle smaller, but when i drag the pins into meet this, the still follow  an invisible outline of where the old rectangle  boundaries were. Any ideas?

thanks

Which Schematic tool? Capture will have a Bounding box, the pins are attached to this and it can be no smaller than "all" the enclosed drawn objects, like lines and dots. Try making the Bounding box a lot bigger than the original "part rectangle", then make a "generous" window selection of the inside of the Bounding box, any remaining objects will be selected, and press Delete to remove them. If that fails, check carefully for any "pin to pin" lines that are moving with the Bounding box and delete them. Once the Bounding box can be freely resized, set the required size and add the required rectangle.

Hi, and thanks for your response. ive taken a screen shot. I resized what i think might be the bounding box you refer to (the one with dotted lines??) but still im unable to move the pins over to meet this. When I try with P2 for example, you can see the pin still wan to followan invisble box.

    Any ideas?

Had the exact same problem. After selecting All bits and pieces including the bounding box many square dots became pink, showing objects that did not appear when downsizing the bounding box. I managed to strictly select those invisible lines and deleted them. I was then able to downsize the bounding box as desired. What puzzle me is how can one manage to insert invisible objects in a part? Whatever, problem solved. Thanks oldmouldy !
