 Hi,

Is there a way to combine following commands in a single key using maybe alias or funckey?

commands to combine:

shape add,  right click, assign net..

    Hello, Yes there is.

Here is a small macro to do what you need to do.

funckey s "shape add; setwindow form.mini;FORM mini dyns_netname_list"

I assigned it to the s key on my keyboard :)

when you add the macro to your env file and hit the assigned key in Allegro it will pop up a dialog box so you can select the net for your shape. Keep in mind function keys in allegro are case sensitive. Works pretty good.

    Thanks Scott.

     Hi Scott,

I tried it and it works fine. but then, is their a way to not select a net on a list?. what I want is to select a pin/rat/shape or any valid object and it will get the net assigned to that object then assign it to the shape that will be create.

Yep you can do it that way too. That's kind of similar to the default action.

    Try this instead.

funckey S "shape add; pop net list"

run the hotkey, click  your object that has a net and draw the shape you need.

    Thanks Scott
