BRD to DXF Layer Conversion File

Hello,

I am trying to export my board to dxf for our mechanical designers but when I export the board, it doesn't capture the Ref Des values, so intstead of seeing for ex. C8, the ref des shows up as R*. It seems to be pulling the footprint Ref Des rather than the value of boards Ref Des.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try unchecking the option to "Export Symbols and Padstacks as BLOCKs" since this option will use the Library definitions rather than the Instance definitions and the RefDes will be applied to the Instance.
