Gerber & Drill Viewer - What's out there?

All,

I have for many years been using Viewmate (Pentalogix) although never having been able to view the drill files together with the gerber data. But - my designs has worked and boards delivered has been fine. A collegue of mine has been using Camtastic..."something" in order to review my data and he was also unsuccessful in trying to look at the drill data.

Nothing strange. I use metric data, RS274X, excellon, leading zeroes omission...

So my question is: Does it exist a free viewer that can import and display the drill data together with the gerber layers?

I too use Viewmate. To view the drills along with the gerber, I create a directory containing only the gerbers and drill files.
In viewmate select import/directory. The gerber and drills are now in your viewmate viewer.
I have noticed that Viewmate seperates the drills into their own layer, but they're in there.

Been there. Done That. My problem is that the drill data will not display in the same scale as the gerber data. I use Metric output, with same accuracy x,y for both Gerber 274X and Drill but ViewMate rescales the drill data to something which I am not able to adjust.

http://www.graphicode.com/GC-Prevue
Called GC-Prevue. This has been around for a hell of a long time and should do what you need.
