Hello All,

When trying to export the ODB++ with C:\Valor\ODB++Inside, I get the error:

However, when i tried using C:\MentorGraphics\AllegroExportODB++, the ODB++ generation works. The version of the Valor ODB++ Inside is 08.01, Build 55. The system environment variable for ALLEGRO_BRD2ODB= C:\Valor\ODB++Inside

Any ideas or thoughts? Thanks!

In the cases where I ran into an issue with ODB++ generation, I would always go to Mentor Graphics ODB++ Inside web page and download the latest translator. Here is the link that is presented when attempting to run File > Export > ODB++ Inside, which you would see if the ALLEGRO_BRD2ODB was not set ->   http://www.mentor.com/pcb/downloads/odb-inside-trader

Also on this web page there is an email address / phone number for support and questions (as oldmouldy indicated)

By the message, it looks like the SKILL routine (VALOR_EXT.IL) that is being used to generate the post process files for ODB++ generation does not match the version of ODB++ Inside you are running.  You should always use the VALOR_EXT.IL file located in the ODB++ Inside folder of the translator you are using to avoid any conflicts.  The VALOR_EXT.IL in the ALLEGRO_BRD2ODB Folder is loaded/used by default unless you have another version of the SKILL file loaded using $HOME/PCBENV/ALLEGRO.ILINIT

All else fails you can contact ODB++ Inside support using the email/phone on the ODB++ Inside web page.

    Good Luck,
    Mike Catrambone
