[Need Help]Cadence16.6 Entry point not found, could not be located in the dynamic link library ordb_dll.dll

Install cadence 16.6 ok, but fails to open the exe.

Capture fails is just as the picture.

Allegro also fails, says could not be located in the dynamic link library cdscommon.dll. See the pic.

 I used to install cadence16.3 and pads9.3, but before the installation of 16.6, I uninstall these two softwares.

 After the failure, I reinstalled 16.6 for 2 times, all the same symptom.

I moved the CDSROOT information to the front of "PATH" in the environment variables, no effect. My computer is XP SP3.

I work at Freescale, we use the company dynamic license.

Thanks!

    Your system seems to fall over before the license is read. Welcome to DLL-hell.  You avoided the 1024 Sys path variable limit by moving CDSROOT near the beginning.

    Are you using [Windows Start] [Cadence] [Release 16.6] [Allegro] ?

    If you copy shortcuts to the Task bar, start Menu, and desktop from that menu, they are version specific.  You have to create 16.3 shortcuts.

    (no better reason to flip from PADS to Cadence than to use Freescale's eval board layout/capture files...  Thank you Freescale.)

    You should check if your CDSROOT is set to correct release; it should be set to 16.6 release. It appears that you have your system configured to run 16.2 release. You can change current active releases by running <INSTALLDIR>/tools/bin/switchversion.exe

    Hope this helps.

    I had selected 16.6 by running switchversion.exe, but no help.

        CDSROOT       = C:\Cadence\SPB_16.6

    Thanks for your suggestion, anyway.
