Altium 14.0 to Orcad PCB Editor release 16.3

Hi all,

I'm looking for a method of translating a .PCBDOC from a recent version of Altium into a .BRD file that I can open in Orcad PCB editor standard edition.

I have tried the Altium export of a ".BRD" file, but the file cannot be opened by Orcad PCB editor and returns an error about how the file is not valid.

I have tried exporting as an IDF, however only the board outline seems to transfer, I get an error for every footprint as "not found"

The purpose for this is to be able to make modifications to existing designs done in Altium using Orcad PCB editor.

    Hi,

if you want to convert .pcbdoc to .brd .. please follow the below steps.

     1. Please open the .pcbdoc in pads

     2. Export .asc file from pads

     3. Import .asc file in pcb editor and update your changes..

    Regards,

    Karthik.
