Design Entry Global Navigate problem

Hi Guys,

Good Day!

I would like to seek help regarding Design Entry Tool. I lost the Global Navigate window that usually pop-out when ever I click on a net. Currently, it is not showing what ever I do. I have re-installed the tool and still the window didn't showed up after re-intallation and series of reboot.

Hoping to fix this problem as I'm having difficulty reviewing my schematics. BTW, I'm using 16.5.

Thanks,

ClassD99

I am using 16.6, but if I select a net and then right-click, Global Navigate is one of my choices.  It is also in the drop-down menu "View".  Are you saying that the Global Navigate window will not come up using those methods?

    Hi Chad,

    Thank for your input.

Yes, Have done that too; but still no global navigate that pops up. Is there a way to reset the design entry to default?

    Thanks,

    ClassD

I did a quick search on Sourcelink and the recommended solution I found was as follows:

In this case the problem looks to be specific to the registry keys. The following steps will help resolve the issue.

    1. Close all Cadence related 16.5 applications

    2. Click on Start > type "regedit". This will open your registry editor.

    3. Delete the key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cadence Design Systems\ConceptHDL_165

    4. Reopen Allegro Design Entry HDL

    Disclaimer:

EDITING THE REGISTRY SHOULD ONLY BE DONE BY AN EXPERIENCED USER FAMILIAR WITH 'regedit'. INCORRECT EDITING CAN CAUSE CATASTROPHIC PROBLEMS. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO SAVE THE CURRENT REGISTRY FIRST BY OPENING 'regedit' AND SELECTING FILE > EXPORT.

    Good luck.

    Chad
