 I know I had read about the ability to refresh the refdes of a single part but for the life of me I cannot find it.

How do I do this?

Thanks

     Tools->Update Symbols

    Then provide the refdes in a *.lst file

    In 16.6 set your application mode to placement edit then hover over the part you want to refresh and right click. Select symbol instance and your ref des should come back. Hope this helps.
