 Hi,

I am using 16.6 to create my symbol. When I try to save it I receive below message and PCB editor doesn't save my new symbol anylonger:

     Try a Tools - Database check, check the options and then click on Check. Then you should be able to save the symbol.

    Hi,
    Thank you very much for your answer. After creating this post, I remembered your comments on a similar problem that you had commented last week. So I run DBDoctor and could fix the issue. Unfortunately, I couldn't delete my post.So sorry for any inconvenience. By the way, How can I delete my post if I find its answer by myself?

    Regards,

    Hossein

    I encountered the same bug. I defined a symbol that is an oblong single test point (for a wire soldering pad).

    I wanted to add a silkscreen shape around it to protect the copper around it from shorting when the wires are manually soldered.

    So the silkscreen has an opening in it.  For some reason this kind of a shape that I created by merging several shapes and voiding the inside, caused the tool to get confused.

    Running DBdoctor indeed helped me.

    For those who need more help, follow this steps:

    Click on Tools ==> Database Check ==>

    Check the BOX "Update all DRC (including Batch)" and also check the BOX "Check shape outlines",

    ==> click on "Check".

    Problem solved.

    In conclusion -- I would not delete this post, even if you figured out this problem by yourself.  There are other users who will find this helpful!

    Below is a screenshot of the footprint I was working on. The green area is the Package Geometry /Silkscreen_Top, the rectangle is Package Geometry / Place_Bound_Top.
