Changing Text Class

After finishing my board design I realize all my Ref Des have changed to the Manufacture class and Autosilk_Top subclass. I want to change them into the Ref Des Class with Silkscreen_Top subclass generally.

in Placment mode I have tried many times by Edit> Change menu with Option Tab but any of them doesn't work

     Hi,

you could not change the class from one class to another class.(you can change subclass in class property) .i think while creating footprint you added class property wrongly.better updated in footprint side and update you component it will update it in layout side.

Have you ever tried "Update Symbols" in Place menu with "Reset Symbol text location and size"box checked? If you are pretty sure of class/subclass for Symbols, try to refresh them as I told. This may work.

You have run the Manufacture - Silkscreen command which has copied the text from Refdes/Silkscreen_Top to Manufacturing/Autosilk_Top. This command is used to trim silkscreen lines from pads/vias etc. The silkscreen text is still on refdes/silkscreen_top so just turn that layer on to see your silkscreen. You can run the Silkcsreen command again with class/subclass set to none which will remove the autosilk layers
