How to create QFN footprint in OrCAD PCB Editor 16.6

Hello,

I want to create a footprint for the QFN-16 package but OrCAD PCB Editor Package Symbol Wizard doesn't have one. Please guide me how to create one from scratch.

    I just wanted to make 48 6x6 QFN foot print using pcb editor inside orcad lite 16.6 but there are some dimensions i can't get from any data sheet

    these are the e2 and e1 in the package symbole wizard PLCC/QFP parameters.

    Also what will be the default padstack to use for symbol pins?

    You can normally calculate these two dimensions to get what you need. In regard to pad sizes, look at the manufacturers recommended sizes and then make the padstack using Pad Designer. You can also look at www.pcblibraries.com which is available as a free lite version (as well as a paid for version) which will help you to create symbols and padstacks to the IPC 7351 standard. Cadence also offer a paid for version called OrCAD Library Builder which along with IPC footprints also allows schematic symbols to be created from the PDF datasheet.
