 Hi!

I want to create a crosshatched circular shape, with a woid in its center and an other few mm woid not far from the outer ring. Its like a ring shape in an a bigger ring shape. How can i make it, or can i make it at all in allegro?Somelike i attached.

You can create a new shape. Go to shape -> shape circular & Manual void circular for desired rings. You can play with grids to tune it fine in your required resolution. By the way, if you have such shapes in another software like Autocad, you can use import, DXF file and select the desired layer. This way Allegro will import your shape.

    Hope this will make sense.

I figured it out with your instruction, thanx.

One more question. How can i fill it crosshatched. Tried to change the hatch distances, but i cant see difference?

Moreover, how can i make them differently hatced?

Go to file->Import->DXF. Choose Fill Shapes. Just FYI, I've experienced many difficulties regarding different units!. Take care of that and choose actually what your source shape dimansion is (Mils or MM)

I tried it but didnt work. It just import the contours.

What have to be the shapes in dxf to recognize it is shape.

A simple hatch or solid fill is not enough?

But now i learned to make polygon shapes so i can fill it mysel as i want.

    Thank you.

I don't really know what type of shapes they must be in dxf. However, if you import it to Allegro even with counters, then you will have many tools to edit it. As previously mentioned, you can use Shape-> Cicular to draw a circle (You can select from shape fill types crosshatch) and then Shape-> Manual Void->Circular to make some void in it.
