Cannot remove Variant Name from Title Block

At one time I experimented with BOM Variants.  It wasn't what I wanted, so I deleted it.  Now every time I open the design, the Variant Name is in my title block and it shows up on the schematic page.  If I Delete it, it goes away, but it always comes back.  How to I get it to remove permanently?  I looked in Part Manager, and there are no BOM Variants anymore.  Where does this come from?

     Take a look at Options - Design Template - Title Block tab and then open the TitleBlock symbol and remove the Variant Name placeholder. This should then stop this from happening on new designs that use this titleblock. You can replace/update the cache on current designs to clear this property.

    I have replaced the title blocks with our library part title block which DOES NOT have the Variant Name property. However when I close and reopen the design, the property mysteriously comes back. Could it be something stuck in my cadence.ini file?

    I'm still having this issue. I delete the property, then I Print to PDF, and it comes back. EVERY Time I Print to PDF the darn thing comes back...

    I was able to duplicate your issue.  The only way I could find to remove it was to open my local capture.ini file and delete the two sections with VARIANT in the heading.  My local capture.ini is located at:  $HOME\cdssetup\OrCAD_Capture\16.6.0\capture.ini  I suspect yours would be in a similar location.

    Interesting.  I don't see any sections with Variant in the heading which is why this is odd. I have been through mine quite a few times. I can attach it here.
