The Assembly and Silkscreen text is mirrored on the bottomside of the PCB.   How can in correct this?

    It's the bottom side of the board.  It has to be mirrored to be right reading when the board is fabricated.  If you want to just see how it looks if you were to flip the board, use View => Flip Design.

    An assembly drawing is just a document used by people to locate parts....why would this need to be reversed?

    I'm using 16.01, can't seem to find View->Flip Design......will keep looking

    You will not find Flip Design that old of a version.  Maybe 16.5, not sure about 16.3.

    Sorry, in your original question you stated silkscreen and assembly text in the same sentence.  I just picked up the silkscreen part.  Are you trying to create an assembly drawing to plot?  If you go to File => Plot Setup, you selcet the option to plot mirrored.  That should give you a right reading plot of bottom layer text.

    If you are trying to create a "right reading" view of the bottom side of the board, you may want to try using the "create detail" command.  (Manufacture->Drafting->Create Detail)  This tool essentially allows you to take a copy of what is displayed on your screen and rotate, mirror, or scale it for use on a drawing.
