Autosilkutils error

Hi, I am using Orcad pcb editor v16.6 S022 and have loaded v12.11 of the autosilkutils skill code but I am getting an error :

"E- *Error* plus: can't handle (nil + 53.69)" when I run a check.  Anyone else had this problem?

Thanks,

Jim O'Mahony

    Thanks Dave. I installed the newer version but have the same problem.
    If I select the "Use Films" option I get the error as stated above but if I choose "Use Silk Layers" with Manufacturing and Autosilk I get:  "W- (SPMHA1-125): Illegal rectangle size.  E- *Error* plus: can't handle (nil + 8.799)".  The program hangs and a version of the text where the error occurs is left drawn in shapes.
    I also get DBDoctor errors such as :
    "ERROR IN SHAPE (-0.818 50.140) - (-0.818 51.410)
    class = REF DES
    subclass = SILKSCREEN_TOP
    ERROR(SPMHDB-190): SHAPE boundary is illegal.
    Error cannot be fixed.

    Hi Jim, is it possible for you to send me the board file?

    Hi Dave, I have attached a small board which I am using for test but the problem appears on all boards that I have tried recently and so may be something to do with my environment.

    Hi Jim, The code doesn't appear to handle your zero-width text very well but it doesn't crash for me (in s038). I know that there was a problem with certain ISRs a while back. My release 12.12 was modified to handle this but it's hard for me to verify every ISR. I will investigate updating the code to use the artwork Undefined Line Width value when it encounters such text but you could try a couple of things: Uprev to a later ISR and/or redefine your text to have a non-zero line width. Please let me know how you get on. Cheers, Dave
