Component not transferred from capture to pcb editor

Hi,

I have tried now for days to transfer my design in Orcad Capture CIS to PCB Editor, but no matter what I do one of my components is not transferred to PCB Editor. The component is a transformer with a custom footprint. I've made a lot of custom components and they all transfer just fine except for this one component.

I can see it on the design cache, but it doesn't show up on the Bill of Materials, it's not in part manager and it doesn't get transferred when creating a netlist. What could I possibly do wrong when it worked for every single other component I made myself?

I'm using a custom database it it works smoothly with the other components.

Check the Primitive property value for the component. The Primitive value should be set to Default or Yes to work as a regular component, a Primitive value of No can get the behaviour that you are seeing.

Thank you for you answer. The Primitive property is already set to default and changing it to YES does not seems to change anything.

Try manually placing the transformer on the board. You will get a warning in the command window if a padstack or shape is missing. Much harder to track this down for beginners if it is during netlisting from OrCAD.
