Board outline changes

I've tried everything and cant figure out a good way to do this. Lets say I have a rectangular pcb outline (or even a silkscreen) that is drawn as one line and I now need to add in an arc for a stand off. I don't want to redraw the whole pcb outline. What's the best way to handle that? I tried modifying it with the vertex command but that's not working for me.

TIA

Try using Manufacture => Drafting => Fillet.  Define your radius in the Options window and select two intersecting lines.

Go to manufacturing -> fillet -> put in a radius and pick the two line segments that make your corner. This should create your arc.

Ahh didn't word that right. Think more a cutout midway up the sides of the pcb.  It has to mount inside one of those plastic cases like Radio Shack sells. The posts are for the covers to screw together. I already laid the pcb out when they decided to use that case. I can easily do with the old Orcad package but 16.6 has been giving abit of fits with pcb outlines mods and silkscreen.

Also is there a way to simply lengthen the pcb outline? With Orcad 9.2 you could just use the "S" command to adjust the pcb outline but 16.6 doesn't use obstacles.

    Thanks!

Don't know if you are using Allegro or OrCAD at this point, so my view point is from the Allegro side.  For lengthening, if it is a rectangle, either editing the vertex's or actually redrawing would probably be the fastest.

As for the cutout, if it were me, I would make the basic rectangle, on BOARD GEOMETRY/OUTLINE.  I would then draw a circle on the same layer and using the delete with the cut function, delete the segments of the lines I didn't want.  With the right mouse button context menu of being able to snap to intersections, etc, it makes this take fairly easy.  If you then want to make the entire outline one entity, compose a shape from the line on BOARD GEOMETRY/OUTLINE.  You board outline would now be a unfilled shape.
