Hi,

Is there a way to have Allegro delete the existing files or overwrite the existing files when generating new artwork ?

I'd like to have this feature too. I thought it might be under USER PREF's - Manuf - Artwork but didn't see anything.

Not sure what you mean by this because if you create a new artwork it simply overwrites the old one.... so what do you really mean ?

I see whats it doing. If you run "create" artwork three times....the first time it makes .art....the 2nd run what it does is make .art again but then it makes a .art,1 set of files too which I think are the original .art files. If you make the 3rd one or any after that it goes back to the normal .art files and leaves the .art,1 files alone.

So are the .art,1 backup files?

Set the environment variable, ADS_TEXTREVS to 0. Search for it in the environment editor.

That seems to do it for my needs! I had a feeling it would be in that area but didn't see it. Thanks!
