Via design

Greetings all friends around the world,

I'm a newbie in this forum and newbie in using Allegro. I need someone to assist me about via that I design, please refer an attachment for an image.

Why is via 1 is different than via 2, whereas both vias were assigned GND. When I randomly moved via 1 in a green shape (GND auto-generated shape), it becomes like via 2.

I'm really appreciate if someone can assist me with an explanation regarding my problem. Thanks.

In the first case, the shape does not cross the "connect point", typically the centre, of the via, hence it does not connect, when you move the via, the shape does... I would also say that having the "Thermal" set to 8 way with a large line width is probably not a good idea, using Full Contact for Vias might be a better approach to removing the thermal and getting a solid connection.
