Assigning copper pour to a net

Hello all,

I have another pretty simple question. I want to fill the top layer of my board with copper pour. The way I tried to do it was I took the board outline and did a Z-Copy and contracted the board outline a little and made that dynamic copper. This works perfectly but the copper is not assigned to any net. I can't seem to figure out how to assign this to a net. I'm sure it's simple but I can't seem to find where to do this. The options menu doesn't have the net field like it does when you're creating the pour from a shape.

Hopefully that made sense.

I believe the best way is to use the Edit -> Split plane approach. Easy fast and it remembers the net you attach it to if you need to regenerate it.

You can assign during the z copy as well. Before right.mouse->done just select down to "Assign net" in the right mouse menu.

Also you can "Shape->Select Shape". The options menu will allow you to change or select the net you want to assign to.

Thank you! That's the method I tried at first but I was missing the select shape part.

If your using the latest version you can right click - Customise - Enable Shape selection through Shape Fill then hover over the fill of the shape and use right click - Assign Net. No need to use Shape - Select Shape or Void any more...
