Find missing SilkScreen RefDes on board design

Hi,

Is anyone knows how to find a missing REFDES on silkscreen or assembly layer? Is there a skill code to do that?

From time to time I find a few part on the design missing REFDES, probably they got deleted by accident and I didn't even know about it. It takes a lot of time to check each part on the board. If there are a better way to do this, please do tell.

    Hi TiBo,

    I put Dave's routine in the format required for Skill to run.  Unfortunately, I couldn't see how to attach a file to the post, so I am including it in this message.  Save the area between "### begin Skill code" and "### end Skill code" to a file called findMissingRefdes.il.  Then, you can load it as you would normally load a Skill program.  To run it, you just type "fmr" (no quotes) at the Allegro command line.
