Hello everyone,

I am a newb to OrCAD. I was wondering if anyone had or knew where I can find an Arduino Shield footprints for OrCAD. After hours and hours of searching I can only find footprints in EAGLE.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

It not available in OrCAD but there is a free Eagle2Allegro (OrCAD and Allegro) translator. http://www.orcadmarketplace.com/t60p-topic/ProductDetails/tabid/93/ProductID/66/Default.aspx

Awesome! Thanks for this. However, I'm trying to install it using the installation guide but when I drop the folder in my directory where Cadence is installed it doesn't work. I tried restarting the program multiple times as well.

Run the exe from http://www.mediafire.com/download/3dvdbnfvx0848v2/ConfigureLocalSkillLocation.exe which will make a skill folder and setup the allegro.ilinit file. Put the filename.il into this skill folder and then edit the allegro.ilinit file (created in %HOME%\pcbenv) with a text editor and add the line:- load (“ns_eagle2allegro.il” “nsWare”) making sure that the skill folder you create is at the front eg load ("c:/skill/ns_eagle2allegro.il" "nsWare"). The start PCB Editor and type ns_eagle2allegro at the command line. You can also get the nsWare framework which adds a menu entry for this.

Thanks for the tip. I tried installing the nsWare framework by downloading the file and putting the nsWare folder in the correct Cadence directory but the menu still wouldn't show up. I will try this method you explained above.

    Thanks
