Line - try the Slide command, shape try the Shape Edit mode - there are options to Round corners etc.

Thanks but that does not work/ I have a line on a shape that is on angle . I need to take this line and create an arc between the end points.  I have not seen a way to so this on SHAPE or SHAP/EDIT. I can decompose the shape but there is not feature I can find to convert the line to an arc.

That's odd - it works for me (unless I misunderstand what you want). In Shape Edit Mode - look at the Options menu and set corners to round and set the trim value and then click on the corner. You could also try Manufacture - Drafting - Fillet on the decomposed shape but not really necessary since ShapeEditMode

I can convert a vertex into an arc but want to be able to take any one of the straight lines in your drawing and pull that into an arc .

You have to do that whilst creating it (change the Line Type from Line to arc) as you go....
