Export Constraints to be read in a spreadsheet

Has anyone had any tried or had any success doing this? I'd like to be able to see the constraints in a particular design without having to open Allegro. You'd think it would be a simple to export into Excel.

There is a Tools - Excel option from Constraint Manager but currently you need an Allegro + High Speed License to have this command. You could try opening the CM worksheet you want then File - Export - Worksheet file which saves a tab delimited txt file out which can be opened in Excel if you don't have the high speed license.

    Steve,

thanks for the info, now I understand why I never got the excel option, had to have the high speed option on.

Question for you, is there a way to save the full constraint manager output in a single export?

Current only the Constraint set I have highlighted is exported.

i.e.  I was able to export only the Spacing Constraint Set, not the Net, Net Class - Class and the Region entries.

Unable to attached a screen shot, some issue with your site or my firefox configuration.

    Kind Regards,

    Bill - Microsemi

Hi Bill - Yes there is a method but you need the High Speed Option to do it....Tools - Excel. The only method without that is to select each one and then export the Worksheet File

    Steve,

I believe you miss understood my message.

I was able to get the spreadsheet out to excel.

    However:

No - A full constraint manager output cannot be generated unless you have the HS option and even then you are restricted to Worksheets (individual) or Workbooks (Electrical) for example. Without this you can export any workbook you like by selecting it (like Physical - Net - All Layers then select the dsn name and right click - Expand All then use File - Export - Worksheet File and that worksheet is extracted to text file that can be opened in Excel.
