Price of bulk production of circuit board

Hi guys,

Not your average question, but an easy one. I have no experience with developing PCBs, but I want to look into the possibility of mass producing a circuit board.

Can someone please give me an estimation of the price per unit, for mass producing around (10,000 units) a board with:

GPS component, sim card reader (and the ability to connect to a mobile network), ultrasonic distance sensor, small solar panel and a battery (making the product self sustaining).

Any guesstimates would be really appreciated!

Thanks for your time,
Rob

    Well, it depends...

    1) How many layers

    2) Copper weight

    3) Material type

    4) Finish type

    5) Drill hole count

    6) Special features

However, given all that, I have paid in high volume ~25c/square inch for a four layer, HASL finish, FR4 board from China and half that for a 2 layer board (1/2 oz outer layers)

    1) probably two layers 2) no idea 3) whatever you think would suit (the device resides outside) 4) same answer as to 3 5) however many you feel is appropriate for a board of this style 6) N/A. Is the 25c/square inch including price for the components? Thanks for your answer

25c/in is for raw finished PWB only.

Finished PWA in high enough volume is about 20-25% more than BOM price.  Not sure if you mean the same high-volume as I do.

If low volume like <2,000 pcs/mo you will pay a per-item install plus setups that average-up the percentage.  It's best to get with the overseas supplier for more exact pricing.

    You could try http://www.pcbcart.com/quote .

There you can enter the details of your design and they will provide the price per unit or total as required. It is a simple system to operate as long as you can fill out all the field, it is normally accurate too.

    Or https://www.pcb-pool.com

You are asking for total price of a lot of components and design. Much too hard to quickly give you an idea.
