Gerber does not agree with allegro dimension. Everything is shifted

Hi,

I haven't seen this or ever been mentioned to me that the gerber does not agree with my allegro dimension.

Anybody sees this kind of problem before and what is your solution for this.

I have Allegro 16.6 - hotfix 67 which is the latest. I use CAM350 to verify the off set and the board vendor also told me so.

Thank in advance.

Regards,

TiBo

No, have not seen that.  How much is it offset?

Check the Manufacturing / Photoplot_Outline, for vector artwork, rather than raster, RS274X, artwork, the Gerber origin will be the "lower left" of the Phtotplot Outline, rather than the board origin, that would cause all of the artwork to appear at a different location from the board design dimensions.

    Hi Oldmouldy,

Yes, I do have photoplot outline to cover the board and RS274X artwork.

First time I encounter this, the board vendor use CAM350 gerber viewer.

Cadence support said they never see this either.

    Thanks,

    Regards,

    TiBO

I haven't seen this in my 20 years using Allegro too. I looked at a few design, when I use CAM350, I see about 5 mils off on one board and one board I see it off by 29 mils hole to hole. Scratching my head now. Thanks

Check the Offset x and y settings in Manufacture - Artwork - Film tab, this is a film by film setting so you may have set it on one film but not all.
