Reg: silkscreen alignment

hi experts,can anyone explain me that what is the reason that we could not keep the silkscreen on a mask opened via and pads..as per manufacturing aspects after the mask is applied to outer layers..then the silk is printed..why should the silk doenot fall on mask opening?

  • It sounds more like a fabricator requirement. They are looking for a consistent surface on which to print the silk. If you state clearly in your fabrication notes that it's ok to print silk over pads/mask openings then this should not be a problem. Just convince your fabricator that it's ok and move on. (Personally? I do not allow silk over pads or mask though)
